……..ahh what bliss in surrender and trust .. the observer watching in relaxation … just allowing it all and from a deep place within decisions arise naturally, moves, choices and actions are taken … being present to all that arises and falls away … this ever changing dance … what can seem wrong, can be so right .. and vice versa … we take nothing with us when we leave this body … and to me I am aware that the highest thing for me this lifetime is to live in kindness, truth and soul alignment. When we allow and are opening to awareness, we trust the bigger picture … we tune into expanded self …

As I move through these days, I am present, grateful and relishing each day .. some days are in Melbourne and some in Adelaide … some are gardening, PhD-ing, researching, yoga-ing, hanging out with my kiddies-ing, being with my soul mate, doing nothing, working in corporate circles .. teaching meditation, NLP-hypnosis, self care, sleep hygiene talks, public speaking… some is laughing or soul chats with friends, or just being silent with my cat, furball ….

…some is just walking about shopping, planning for our family, budgeting, paying bills, organising tax returns and the list is endless … lots of photo taking and reading yogic texts, attending classes/trainings and just being open to what truly vibrates with me … constant balancing and feeling what each moment requires or is asking for, teaching me, giving me …

Ultimately life really is the meaning we give to it!

I am aware that after 8+ nearly 9 years of teaching regularly – truly there for each and every class, week in and out, over christmas, over birthdays (mine and my kids), building a sweet kundalini yoga community, holding end of year parties, retreats, workshops and inviting other international teachers ( Gong master Don Conreaux, Jaye Roberts from Sydney, Jai Jagdeesh and Yogi Amandeep just to name a few) and musicians into kundalini studio’s space and community, I recently had to let myself flow into new directions to follow further guidance into expansion into research and interstate relations … more below … in the purple box.

Life is change – to stay the same is stagnation. Inwardly our core is still and full of light and love, that remains the same, yes, this pulse is divine stillness – but in this dimension of living in a body temple, nothing remains the same.

And here is the joy of divine self-care on all levels, confidently navigating though the maya of life .. the gift of kundalini yoga is the greatest of all in my life, besides my loved ones!

I am honouring the divine body temple – easily – no alcohol or drugs (although that was so all of my life – mostly vegetarian and natural living and eating .. and attention on what I love – purity, truth, animals, plants and this planet … navigating through where I place my attention …. remember: your life is where you place your focus. And whatever is happening right now is perfect for YOU. YOUR perfect dimension and experience. Nothing is wrong with anyone’s differences, these are just unique perspectives!!! How divine!!!!

There is no greater sanctuary than the purity of our hearts. It cannot and will not be found in a pub, a drink of alcohol, another purchase, a dress/car or the ‘tinder’ aspects of the world … it is within.

How are you with time to yourself? Are you loving your own inner dimension?

Is this something you wish to enhance in the now and as a new year’s resolution for 2019? …. of course every moment is a new choice – it just seems in this world most people love the new years resolution time to dive deeper into this contemplation. It serves as an anchor. A reset button so-to-speak. And that is perfectly amazing!

December 2018 and January 2019 events

The chapel is almost read and it looks divine!

As a celebration for our community for this year, Christmas and my passion for creating a huge field of love in the form of meditative group consciousness, I am holding a SPECIAL event – both for world peace energetically (raising vibrations) and for charity. 50% goes to charity of the Hope Cafe which helps refugees and more! Amazing amazing organisation here at the Clayton Westley. The class is 1.5 hours and after that we shall have a little end of year Christmas party there too!!!

I welcome things dropping away that are no longer matching my path, and opening up to what is of a higher practise now – the bigger picture is raising vibrations globally, my heart soars at the mere thought. This is my dedication.

Immersion classes continue at my home studio “infinite yogi”- 3 hours of divine kundalini yoga : intention setting, asking questions, diving deeper than usually, longer meditation time (hence greater benefit), long sound bath with Gong! (= great healing vibrationally), longer kriyas that usually cant be done in usual time slots, and afterwards grounding snacks (healthy) and a bit of yogic chatting for those who want this).

BUT I will still hold other larger sessions for males and females combined and in my soon to return advanced yoga classes, both males and females are invited. No starting date is determined as yet. Latest start for these will be March 2019. (Due to PhD and Melbourne events).

What is the purpose of communication? There is one and only one purpose of talking. As there is one God, one humanity, one light, one planet Earth, there is one purpose of communication. It is to discharge your honest being. I am literally translating: “To discharge your honest being.” When you catch the honesty and communicate rather than carrying the other garbage with it, that is communication. The first purpose of life is to know where your honesty is. The second purpose is to know where your heart is. The third is to know where your head is and the fourth is to know your totality. About Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan® is considered the most comprehensive of yoga traditions, combining meditation, mantra, physical exercises and breathing techniques; it is a Raj Yog, encompassing the eight limbs of yoga into a singular practice of excellence and ecstasy. “Kundalini” literally means “the curl of the lock of hair of the beloved.” This poetic metaphor alludes to the flow of energy and consciousness that exists within each of us, and enables us to merge with – or “yoke” – the universal Self. Fusing individual and universal consciousness creates a divine union, called “yoga.” The Upanishads, dating back to the fifth century B.C., describe the kundalini, although the oral tradition reaches back even further into history. For thousands of years, this sacred science and technology was veiled in secrecy, passed along verbally from master to chosen disciple.

The Yogic Diet

“It’s not that we don’t know good food, we do know. We don’t eat to be healthy, we don’t eat to live, we eat for taste. We love junk and then we end up being junk. Don’t make your body a junkyard or a graveyard.”

Yogi Bhajan encouraged his students to embrace a healthy, yogic lifestyle. The yogic diet he promoted includes whole, simple, fresh, nutritious food.The yogic diet does not include meat, fish, poultry, or eggs. You can get all the proteins, vitamins, and minerals you need without them.

A yogic diet is a balanced combination of:

Fruits
Nuts
Vegetables
Grains
Legumes
Dairy products
Whole, fresh, unprocessed nutritious foods give you energy and strength. When your diet consists of nutritious and sustaining foods and you eat only what you know you can digest, then you are on your way to a healthy, happy, and holy life.

About Dairy
Dairy products are on the list. This is because when you practice Kundalini Yoga and Breath of Fire, it tends to eliminate mucous. Mucous keeps the breathing passages lubricated and protects the membranes. You may need to replenish the system with a certain amount of mucous, which dairy products can stimulate. If you are allergic to cow products, then try goat products, which are easier to digest.

Sattvic, Rajasic, and Tamasic Foods
You are what you eat. If you are free to live a quiet, contemplative life, a sattvic diet is perfect. For those who wish to maintain a meditative mind but also must live and work in the world, a diet consisting of sattvic and some rajasic foods is best. For those who practice demanding disciplines, like Kundalini Yoga or marital arts, rajasic foods are necessary, along with sattvic foods. For all these lifestyles, tamasic food is best avoided.

Sattvic: Clarity and lightness

Graceful, peaceful, disciplined, intuitive, sensitive.
Most fruit and vegetables, sun foods, and ground foods.
Rajasic: Forcefulness and will-power

Active, positive, demanding.
Stimulating herbs and spices, many earth foods.
Tamasic: Functioning from need and instinct

Impulsive, dull, angry, confused.
Meat, fish, poultry, eggs, alcohol, intoxicating drugs.

The recent journey – contemplations on life and on you

Sat Nam … this is a personal sharing, a bit long, and also what may have been your experience somewhat over the last many months. Really this requires an epic sharing and write up. I won’t be able to do it all justice here in this newsletter.

Suffice to say I have been contemplating deeply in order to choose as wisely as possible with the many cross roads and choices presented to me lately.

The infinite touched and touches me deeply. Boundlessness. And the dance within that.

First of all I wish for all to know that I honestly have always considered you .. building this sweet community over 8 years, against all odds, has been incredible. I had to be extremely predictable, present and 100% committed, which I was. Full dedication! My priorities were 1.my kiddies. and myself (being highest frequency) and 2. kundalini yoga!

Come rain or shine, or heatwave, or whatever .. the hall not ready, sweeping floors, moving tables, or some other yogic politics trying to manipulate things, I faced it all head on. I lovingly allowed, relaxed, communicated, spoke my truth in divine timing… this is the last 8 years. I love to be here, holding space, teaching regularly, reliably and have been one of the few kundalini yoga teachers who created a website, so you can find the classes…this was never a hobby or fun only .. it was my serious focus, and I loved it all! Each time I earned money, I put it back into kundalini to make it better: new yoga mats, more sound healing equipment, upgrading the website to make it better, offering an app for greater ease, running fundraisers, giving back.

I was told recently that my life was changing, I felt it within.
And we have to allow ourselves to be open to elevation … to going more global, if it is in our destiny.

So the PhD came along! Wow! My dream! Sleep and breath research! Bordering on my love of consciousness, full stop! Combining my inner curious scientist with my inner yogi.

Then I met my soul mate! Who would ignore that!???

Then other awesome collaborators approached me, some I approached and we are co-creating projects and classes interstate and within Adelaide!!!

In the meanwhile I have a beautiful family and this includes 3 kiddies and 2 parents and of course friends – with whom I wish to spend time.

It has been a great challenge of time management, choices and incredibly rewarding experiences and states of love, trust and diving deeper each day!

The fact that the hall was being renovated was a brilliant sign from the universe telling me to slow down for a bit and it INSPIRED me to teach in an amazing new format! Deeper immersions – workshop style 3 hour classes once a week, which I knew I could deliver regularly! I loved it and ran with that creative joy!

Now about YOU:

I am aware that many of you were missing the regular classes that were always available when you wanted to attend. Truly, and this was hard for me to integrate and balance so all of you would be happy. I cannot please everyone, nobody can. I tried!

This was a temporary shift, which I shared openly and apologised for or prepared you for … I said I myself am taking it a day at a time and can’t guarantee what is next exactly – but that I would do my utmost to hold regular classes … and juggling and embracing all this in itself took trust and courage to embrace …

….and I know many watched to see what is unfolding. Many expressed feeling excited for me and feeling inspired.. after all we all want to embrace change and joy more deeply and follow our deepest heart and soul, right? … some of you went into your own process … your own dimensions of life expanded and contracted.

The contraction:
… examples are feelings of hurt, abandonment, frustration, anger, sadness.
All beautiful and valid for you.
Meeting yourself in these emotions that were triggered by my being less available for classes. This is something divine to meet within yourself.

What caused this original feeling?

What was the expectation you had of a yoga teacher vs your own self care?

Did you feel abandoned before in your life and this came up to be met and healed?

Do you expect yourself to be like a machine, to be there no matter what, (and hence expect it of me) or can you let yourself be unpredictable and human( did I trigger that you want to be more free too?)?

Do you put others waaayy before yourself and hence resent it when someone else seems apparently “selfish” by pursuing their dreams and in the process giving you less attention? (Is it selfish to expand and teach more widely really?)

These are all things I contemplated too, to really come from love only.

The expansion:
This can feel very uncomfortable if expansive living is very new to your being. The ego is afraid of change that is unfamiliar. Expansion can also feel amazing if you’re ready to expand – starting to feel infinite, boundless, no need to control, compassionate, in love with what presents itself. Celebrating the gift and newness of change. Loving the free feeling within. The libration from routine of expectation … the opportunity to see with new eyes, realising life is unfolding perfectly, whether we like it or not…

I truly wanted and want everyone to be happy .. I totally don’t enjoy causing waves .. life is easier when we are predictable. But is it the best way?

People like predictability, not the opposite like storms, earthquakes, changes … they are threatening .. and yes it is true, change is threatening to the ego self and our unconscious self will rebel (if we are on auto pilot) and look for stability, and try to blame the outside world, taking us into “victim mode” or ‘helpless’ mode, which never feels good … and this is the opposite of what we realise in our truth of infinite consciousness (kundalini yoga). We ALL experience this from time to time, it is natural and part of being human. So please don’t feel upset, or personalise this specifically even, for this IS part of living here, in all of us to varying degrees … it is just noticing it and seeing it for what it is, that makes the difference.

Outside of ourselves – the gift
All the ‘outside’ pain (which is created from inner resistance) teaches us is to go within and find our divine inner sanctuary. That is how I see it, I want you to see for yourself … what is true for you.

Outside nothing is ever stable.

Not even your best friend, family mortgage, job.. the world itself .. even your relationship with yourself has changed over the years, right?

It is like this to me: we only suffer when we resist reality. Full stop.

We only suffer therefore when we expect the outside world to be the same and predictable – and it never is – for long.

Have you noticed?

And when you are really centred and happy, you LOVE change, adventure, discoveries, new experiences .. right?

How can they happen without tests, change and taking risks?

Impossible!

Even taking a bus or a flight is as risk.
We just don’t always recognize it.

And what of those all the amazing “coincidences” you didn’t expect when you met the most amazing new person, for example? All are divine synchronicities and life’s divine messages in my opinion … all are changes!

Life is truly only the labels that we give it, the meaning we give it, and how we respond to the events …

Yogic awareness is about this … asking ourselves:
Why are we agitated?
What am I believing?
What am I resisting?
What can I learn here?
How can I meet my divinity in a deeper way now?

Challenges and change offer us such amazing growth and insight. Without being triggered we often don’t see what is buried within .. isn’t that sublime? A great gift to get to know ourselves more deeply.

I had to embrace the risk of losing the divine community “i” had built over many years .. community, of having ‘angry/upset yogis’ .. I had to live with the awareness that I cannot explain this to everyone, that I cannot please everyone .. and that some yogis will see what they want .. what they are ready to see … and all this is so incredibly perfect!!!!!

I am thankfully not attached to people or feel anything is ‘mine’ … we choose each other anew each day … all is borrowed and temporary and I see this all as a great gift ..

I hope you found other ways to practise your joy of kundalini … be it with other divine teachers or in a different way: online, or with yourself or even in a different way like nature walks, dancing … one love is all .. discover yourself. Even to practise patience is a divine gift.

Live this life deeply, richly fully. Take charge of YOUR divine experience! You cannot change or understand others fully or even partially, you can only try to understand yourself!!! And that is a full time job in itself, right? Dedicate yourself to your loving light within and all will bloom!

As things change we discover so much … feel free to share with me what you discovered.. many gifts I am sure!

Sometimes when we have something reduced in our lives we realise how much we really loved it.

Be you! Honour yourself with highest love.

That is my sincere wish for all that wish for this too! I serve this love light, joy of truth and a deeply respect our divine differences !!! All is valid and has its place!!! So honour your truth. As I honour mine and my prayer is to expand in divine love each moment.

I honestly communicated my truth in each moment as I journeyed through this transition … I am still transitioning and journeying .. loving each moment , yes, even the challenging times .. embracing the Divine with open arms … It has been HUGE! And so divine!!!

Below are some quotes I feel are lovely in regard to this … keeping in mind we read into them what we want and where we are at in our personal awareness … we all see through unique lenses … even if we feel we agree with each other, like we feel we see the beauty of a sunset over the ocean, do we really see the same thing and feel the same elevated love and appreciation? I doubt it, and yet it is all equally as valid!!! Life feels like art… like a dance … like a dream …
