Warm greetings, dear yogis!

This week we are going to enjoy working more deeply with our pituitary gland in particular! And we have an awesome heart opening meditation using  Sat Kar Tar! Many yogis have reported incredible heart openings from this meditation, and profound connection with inner love!

The pituitary gland and pineal glands are two glands you really want to have in optimal health. Their healthy secretions affect you profoundly!

Addiction is related deeply to the connection and health of your pituitary gland with the pineal gland!

Here is a quote from this article:( https://www.3ho.org/3ho-lifestyle/health-and-healing/kundalini-yoga-and-use-recreational-drugs/how-understanding)
“Guruatma created this great drawing, illustrating the soul and its relationship to the pineal and the pituitary glands. She described how the pituitary gland was the master gland – how it regulated the glands of the entire body. But the pituitary needed to take its orders from somewhere. Through meditation, the pineal gland secretes and creates a golden chord with the pituitary. This, in turn, causes the pituitary to function in such a way that the entire body comes into harmony with the soul. Then a person can begin the process of self-control…in essence, gaining the ability to live to their True or authentic self.

However, if the pineal did not talk to the pituitary, then the pituitary would look for something else to give it “orders.” Every addictive substance – from sugar to alcohol to drugs to sex to video games – stimulates the pituitary. This, she explained, is where Yogi Bhajan said addiction originated from: the lack of communication between the pineal and the pituitary.”

Biologically too: The pituitary gland is a master gland!
Here is another quote from this link, for you to enjoy: http://www.spiritvoyage.com/blog/index.php/kundalini-yoga-and-the-glands-pituitary-gland/

“The endocrine glands produce hormones to help the body function optimally. Yogi Bhajan has said that the glands are the “guardians of health”. The glands work with the nervous system, the endocrine system, the chakra system, other glands and the organs.

The Pituitary Gland is known as the ‘Master Gland’ as it controls the entire glandular system which includes the thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, pancreas and reproductive glands. It is located underneath the Hypothalamus in the center of the brain and is about the size of a bean. The Pituitary is associated with the Ajna Chakra aka the Sixth Chakra or the Third Eye.

The Pituitary Gland secretes hormones that affect growth, blood pressure, protein synthesis, digestion, etc. It also has to do with our ability to bond with others. It isn’t a bonding that happens over words and shared ideals, but it is more of deeper sense. Have you ever been drawn to certain people that you end up having an instant connection with? This is the Pituitary Gland. When the Pituitary is weak, it can make a person feel lonely and disconnected from the world. Additionally, it is the Pituitary creates the bonding feeling during sex.

The Pituitary Gland also has to do with our growth physically, spiritually and intellectually. When the Pituitary isn’t mature, one can pretend to be someone that they are not, as they are not, “grown up”. Their inner being isn’t aligned with the part they show the world, which is due to a lack of trust in their intuition. When a person doesn’t trust their intuition and doesn’t project their true self, it makes it hard connect with others.”

The heart opening meditation has countless benefits, and again today I am sharing a link and quote regarding this …  this is the link: http://www.spiritvoyage.com/blog/index.php/kundalini-yoga-and-the-chakras-anahata-the-heart-chakra/
Here is the quote:
“Your heart has not to open to others. Your heart has to open to yourself.” –Yogi Bhajan

From the lower earthly chakras we journey onward to the balance point between the physical realm and subtle realm, the 4th chakra. Once we connect with and fully awaken the energies of the first three chakras, we can use these passions to benefit the bigger picture of Self. We can grow from our stable base toward a greater understanding of the larger sense of who we are in relation to the universe. Kundalini Yoga is a wonderful science to prepare us for living from Anahata. Yogi Bhajan talked frequently about the importance of communication coming from the heart chakra and was a shining example of unconditional universal love. In sharing Kundalini Yoga with us, he gave us the tools to find unquestioning love for ourselves, others, and the Divine.

Anahata means “unstruck” which relates to the constant rhythmic beat or vibration of the heart. Many ancient yogic texts say there is a sound that is non-physical and this transcendental sound vibrates endlessly as the heart beat of all creation. As we move through a more heart-centered time for humankind, many of us are experiencing a deeper connection with this 4th chakra. According to the wisdom of Kundalini Yoga, this chakra is related to the physical heart, lungs, arms, hands, thymus gland, and immune system. When we are disconnected from the energy of this chakra, we can experience physical difficulties with the heart, the circulatory system, blood pressure, lungs and have constant dis-ease. Daily physical exercise outside of a Kundalini Yoga practice can be very beneficial for the strength and functionality of these aspects.

Energetically, the heart chakra is related to compassion and unconditional love. If we are fully connected and living from our 4th chakra, we treat everyone with kindness and offer forgiveness freely. Ourselves included! In this space, we find balance between our earthly desires and spiritual pursuits. We accept that all is as is should be and we see God in all. Through the heart chakra, love is our motivation and our relationships with others, nature, and ourselves are harmonious. Kundalini Yoga is an excellent way to connect to the root of the 4th chakra, self-love. The technology of the kriyas works to strip away layers of junk and debris so we can discover our inner light. Once we are full of self-love we can truly love others no matter what. If we are disconnected from the 4th chakra energy, we tend to feel alienated, lonely, and sad while questioning the existence of love. It is easy for us to be hurt, we fear rejection and are dependent on others affections. We can be cruel, critical, and passive aggressive or suffer from helper syndrome, always giving and sharing with those who do not want it. Lovingly as always, Kundalini Yoga comes to the rescue!”
